Robert Hudson is a Chartered Accountant and brings with him a long history of involvement with Indigenous communities to the board. Working in Alice Springs, he was involved with community projects stretching from Tennant Creek to the West Australian border and as far down as Indulkina. He worked closely with Central Australian community leaders before being transferred to Darwin as partner in charge in of Deloitte 1993. Since then he has been responsible for annual compliance requirements for a number of Aboriginal communities as well as engaging with various Aboriginal enterprises and their boards.
During his career, Robert has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom for both listed and non-listed companies, as well as consulting for private clients. In the Northern Territory, he has been involved with audit and consulting assignments for local government and community councils, various associations and religious organisations, private and public companies, government departments and, most recently, non-government organisations in East Timor.
Robert is also on the Australian Institute of Company Directors Northern Territory committee and acts as a Director and Consultant to Deloitte since his retirement from the partnership in 2007.
